Melawai Urban Village, Iwan Santoso said that
water channel frequently overflowed and resulting puddle during rain. Evenmore,
puddle level on road can reach 30 centimeters.
“Puddle often occurred there due to clogged waterway,” he expressed, Wednesday (11/18).
Santoso uttered channel improvement has been
running for two weeks. By having 800 meters long and 60 centimeters width. “Control
tank will be built there for easy cleaning and monitoring. Thus, residents asked
not littering channel,” he appealed.

Controlling Section for South Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Surya
Kopa stated that the construction is targeted to be done next December
10. It is expected could accommodate more water and streaming
toward Adityawarman connecting channel.
“This project will suppose to
finish on December 10 but depending on field condition,” he told.
